Recording Industry Hires Internet Music Evangelist
Prior to joining the RIAA, Allen helped establish and was in charge of marketing and events for N2K/Rocktropolis, a major music website that featured broadcasts, chats, contests, news and reviews. In that role, Allen worked closely with artists, labels and managers encompassing all facets of online event production, and led efforts to promote the events and other N2K promotions online. Before that, she managed the bands Sky Cries Mary and Gren.
“Karen’s Internet expertise and music business savvy will help propel the recording industry to the next level in cyberspace,” said Susan Lewis, Senior Vice President, Communications.
