U.S. Senate Confirms Iancu For Top Patent & Trademark Post

WASHINGTON – The United States Senate recently voted to approve intellectual property lawyer Andrei Iancu as the new Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Below is a comment on the approval from Mitch Glazier, President, RIAA.

“We welcome the approval of Andrei Iancu as the new head of the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Mr. Iancu has a proven record as a longtime proponent of intellectual property rights. We congratulate him and look forward to working with him in his new role to help advance important protections for American creators.”
