Capitol Hill Mixtape with Congressman Ted Deutch
Welcome back to Capitol Hill Mixtape! We are very grateful to be kicking off our 2021 season with a longtime friend of the music industry, Congressman Ted Deutch (D-FL-22). We really enjoyed hearing about his early days as a campaign volunteer for the 1988 presidential run of a certain young senator from Delaware who was destined for higher office. And about the moment he decided to take a chance and run for his own seat in the Florida Legislature before being elected to Congress. There are few members on the Hill who have taken as much time to understand the needs of the creative community and share their own love of music with fellow congress members and constituents. We’re grateful for his work – especially in this dire time of economic recovery for all American creators.
