Capitol Hill Mixtape returns this week for a conversation with Congresswoman Becca Balint of Vermont. Congresswoman Balint is the first woman and openly LGBT person to represent Vermont in Congress. Before this interview, I had the privilege to see firsthand how she literally ran circles around her staff and colleagues at the opening of the Congress, telling us that she routinely logs well over 13,000 steps a day. A portion of her seemingly boundless energy comes through in this conversation as she tells us about her life, her and her partner’s many talents in the performing arts, and her plans for her time in Congress.
