RIAA Capitol Hill Mixtape with Congressman Tony Cárdenas

On this episode of Capitol Hill Mixtape, we caught up with Congressman Tony Cárdenas, who represents the San Fernando Valley in the U.S. House of Representatives. He told us about growing up as one of eleven children, the music that played in their house growing up, and the albums that stood out to him through his path to public service. He also told us a little bit about his love for Prince and his history with Richie Valens.

Finally, our conversation touched on the Congressman’s work to raise awareness of the new National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline: 988. We appreciate elected officials’ work to create this resource and hope that if you or anyone you love are experiencing a mental health crisis, you reach out for help by dialing 988. RIAA also works closely with MusiCares, an organization that provides Mental Health & Addiction Recovery services to the music community.

Thank you, as always, for watching Capitol Hill Mixtape and it continues to be an incredible experience to bring this to you!
