The Recording Industry Association of America® (RIAA) today reported mid-year recorded music revenue of $490.3 million for the Latin genre with nearly 6% growth over last year’s mid-year figure, outpacing growth for the same period across the overall US market. Streaming dominated over all other formats, providing 98% of this gain, as Latin music delivered $271.1 million to paid subscriptions.

Revenue across all formats hit a new high of $5.6 billion with paid subscriptions driving mid-year growth up 5.7% to $3.2 billion and climbing 6.4% to 105 million accounts. Vinyl held steady, making up more than three-quarters of all physical music revenues following a nearly two-decade resurgence.
